Within the frames of the “Rural Economic Development-New Economic Opportunities” project, funded by the US Agency for International Development, a series of trainingս and discussions have been organized for the Aragatsavan community farmers. The trainings were mainly targeted at the fruit growers of the given community and included the introduction of effective orchard management and up-to date cultivation techniques, awareness on the control of orchard quarantine diseases, and pests, as well as the presentation of the organic production specifics.

Recently “Smart Agro” company, in collaboration with the “Armenian Pedigree Breeders Association”, organized a unique type of training on Pigs Genetics and Nutrition for the individuals and organizations, involved in pig breeding and agricultural animals feed sales. The training was attended by the Agrarian University students as well.

“Today, after my visit to the Center for Agribusiness and Rural Development Foundation, I became convinced that agriculture in Armenia can be a profitable business. And the only thing necessary for achieving this is 1. Knowledge, 2. Knowledge, 3. Knowledge.  And it is the task of the Government to make such knowledge widespread in Armenia”.
